LLB (Hons), Founder and CEO

Abdul Hamid

Abdul is a qualified Lawyer and social activist.

He has been involved in social action projects and youth development programmes for over 20 years. Abdul believes that third sector organisations like The Future Focus Network have a key role to play in enabling young people to access quality youth services, and Abdul has set up several community projects and organisations with this goal in mind.

Abdul is a keen cricketer, enjoys swimming and long walks. He is an avid aviation geek and is still hoping to keep his dreams alive in eventually one day applying for his Private Pilot’s Licence!

Director of Education

Siddika Akther

Siddika is a Specialist Teacher of children with Special Educational Needs at a mainstream secondary school. She has been part of The Future Focus Network since the very beginning and oversees our Education and Skills Programmes.

Siddika enjoys reading classical works, cooking for her lovely family and creating  Henna artistry!  

Director of Youth Services

Sophia Josephraj

Sophia has been with The Future Focus Network since 2014 and is the Director of Youth Services. Sophia helped launch our flagship Education and Mentoring Programme in 2015 and her role has been pivotal to the success of the organisation.
Sophia is married and has two young children. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming and cooking

Project Coordinator & Mentor

Nelima Islam

Nelima is a graduate at Goldsmiths, University of London having studied History and Politics. She is currently undertaking her Master’s in international Relations.
As Project Coordinator, Nelima organises and plans our various projects and programmes and leads on our Public consultations. As a qualified educational specialist, Nelima also supports our Education and Mentoring Programme as a Facilitator and Mentor and loves working with students to help them reach their full potential and encourage them to be their best.
Nelima enjoys bike riding, reading and playing the piano.

Youth Development Coach & Lead Mentor

Lara Shah

With over nine years of mentoring and tutoring experience, Lara is very passionate about working with young people and contributing to positive youth outcomes.
In her role as Youth Development Coach and Lead Mentor, Lara provides vital support to all of our students to help them realise and reach their full academic potential. Lara does this through a combination of mentoring and coaching, skills workshops and drop-in sessions aimed at developing personal skills, and improving academic performance.
Through The Future Focus Network, Lara aims to ensure our students build vital skills to aid personal development and academic attainment.

Sports Coach and Coordinator

Yahya Miah

Yahya runs our Sports & Recreational activities along with our Partner organisation, London Excelsior Sports Club.   Yayha joined our Coaching programme just after completing hid A levels and decided to take a gap year in order to develop his coaching and leadership skills. Yayha has a passion for sports and is aspiring to ge into coaching at a national level.  Yahya absolutely loves running our recreational sessions, knowing that he is helping shape the next generation of sporting athletes!

Adham Chaudhury

Adham is the Lead Tutor and supervises our Teaching and Support staff. Adham has a considerable amount of teaching experience and having grown up in the local area, he really understands the challenges faced by many of the young students who attend our education centre. He is very dedicated and always goes the extra mile for his students!

Dr. Saad Ahmed

Dr. Saad Ahmed is a Doctor based in Colchester Hospital. Saad completed his medical training at Barts and the London School of Medicine in 2017 and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2019.
Through his involvement with TFFN, Saad has worked with many young people from a variety of backgrounds and has seen many realise their potential with the right guidance and supervision. Saad is currently completing a PG Certificate in Medical Education from the Anglia Ruskin University and is the Vice President of the Barts Alumni Network.

Akmal Ullah

Akmal is a teacher of English and published author of young adult fiction. He has taught English in secondary schools and further education colleges throughout London for the past 14 years at both state and independent sectors.
Akmal is passionate about teaching and learning and the progress of young individuals. He is also currently working on the next publication, which is the second novel of a three part series.

Abdus Samad

Abdus is an IT security specialist and provides TFFN with vital Consultancy services on how to ensure the highest standards of security and IT for our users.

Board Member (Safeguarding Consultant)

Meherun Nessa

Meherun is the Head Teacher of an independent school in Redbridge. She has over 25 years teaching and child safeguarding experience. She has taught in several state schools and has a deep and extensive understanding of the mainstream schooling and education system in the UK.

As well as a Board Member of TFFN, Meherun provides safeguarding and educational training to our staff and volunteers.
