At The Future Focus Network we promote diversity, inclusivity and tolerance. We are based in London where 40.2% of residents identify as an ethnic minority and this multiculturalism is a pathway to incredible stories and experiences. We want the youth of our city to find these experiences and learn about them whilst taking pride in their own. Our Cultural Appreciation programme is a series of workshops that gives students the opportunity to share their culture with fellow students. This promotes understanding of different ethnicities and cultural traditions from a young age and encourages acceptance of cultural differences. This also allows students to take pride in their background promoting positive self-esteem. These workshops let students to do hands-on creative activities and confidence building tasks such as presentations and speeches. Students work in teams and form bonds with their peers creating a sense of community. All whilst learning more about each other.
